Our Story

It all started many years ago when a Director of Missions from the Willam Carey Baptist Association asked me to go with him to a meeting. A group of Pastors met every Monday morning for prayer, a short devotion and fellowship. This was also a time they shared many things going on in their particular ministry with fellow brothers. I was not a Pastor but Dr Richards really wanted me to go with him so I did. Because of him, they accepted me into their group and gave me their trust. I met with them every Monday for a year and hardly ever missed. What an education I received from those meetings. I would hear news of great celebrations, and heartache, victory, and defeat…..and a common feeling of discouragement. Towards the end of my time there a common theme seemed to resonate…..if we just had one more strong family or Leader we could get through this situation or take the next step. The Lord laid on my heart that I could be that. My wife and I began to pray and God began to lead us into this ministry. Another DOM Harold Sellers said that NAMB had a category for where God was leading us “Church Strengtheners”. In 2011 we went for training and were commissioned as MSC Missionaries. A few years later NAMB eliminated this category. We prayed about it and since the need was so great formed our own ministry using the name we once were called “Church Strengtheners.” We are currently serving in our 7th Church. I was later ordained in 2017.
